Central Coasting

I celebrated fall (although it still feels like summer) with a quick getaway up the Central Coast this month. First stop, Solvang, home of charming Danish architecture, some of the best sweets in the world (I'm looking at you, pistachio cake from Mortensen's Bakery!), adorable gardens, and quaint hotels. Then it was on to Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo, and Morro Bay for calming scenery, beach strolls, hiking, seafood, striking sunsets, and natural beauty as far as the eye can see. It's just what I needed to recharge, get inspired, and appreciate what California has to offer.
