What To Wear for New Year's Eve

It happens each and every year around this time. Stores become inundated with an array of festive party frocks just in time for holiday festivities. Each year I browse the endless selections and fall in love all over again with bold colors, sumptuous textures, and sparkly sequins. Although I haven't finalized my New Year's Eve plans or what I'm wearing, there are a few dresses below that are tempting me.

Stumped on how to style a New Year's dress? For beauty notes, I'd opt for a ballerina bun or messy waves, bold eyelashes, and red lipstick for just the right amount of drama. (I think updos are ultra chic with bare necklines and headbands are adorable with loose waves.) For jewelry, I'd style a vintage-inspired sparkly necklace or chandelier earrings with a strapless dress, or layered bracelets and cocktail rings to complement short-sleeved or sleeveless styles. As for footwear, the simpler the dress, the more embellished my shoes would be and vice versa. For the finishing touch, I would add a cozy cape, faux fur coat, or dark tights to stay warm and inject some extra glamour.
