Bold Color Blocking

I snapped these photos last month while looking for summer outfit inspiration in a local mall. Color blocking is one of my favorite summer 2011 trends. It's a great way to make a statement with solids, especially if you shy away from prints. Lately I've been stocking up on wardrobe staples in all colors of the rainbow in order to create an endless array of color blocking options. My two favorite three-color combinations are kelly green, lemon yellow, and bright pink, or royal blue, bold orange, and sky blue. And to think that there was once a day when I would never wear lemon yellow, bright orange, or hot pink.
